Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Collins (born in Mexico) is a Mexican American broadcaster. She works for ESPN and is the SportsCenter anchor for news. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first position as a production assistant at Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was then employed by the CBS station to work as an sports reporter. She moved in 2009 into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as an investigative reporter for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She covered stories about illegal immigration as well as drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. In addition, she was an anchor for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision Dallas' Deportes 23. In the following years, she was given greater responsibilities. Antonietta Collins' grandparents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. Her birth date was November 22nd, 1985, in Mexico City. She's older than her sister. In 1992 her family left Mexico and moved to Miami. Soon after the family split up, and in 1995 Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. On a trip Antonietta was staying at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sister had just landed the job of his dreams. As a senior at high school, but having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to determine if the school was suitable for her requirements. She discovered that she enjoyed the university, and the university provided the degree she was looking for. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University for a master's degree in media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor as well as the director of WRMU, of which she is a member. They had a very close friendship. The professor encouraged her to believe in herself and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
